ABOUT US
OUR SPIRIT
Open {air} Anahata is an annual outdoor music and arts festival in Ontario that is about generating positive change through expanding our hearts, connecting to nature, connecting to each other, building friendships and partaking in heart-opening activities. The weekend is filled with workshops, such as meditation, dancing, yoga, arts and crafts, afternoon ambient music and in the evening, the beats pick up and progress into the night.
We are a community driven festival celebrating connection to nature, to our hearts and to each other through movement, music, art, yoga and mindfulness.

Special Soundbath
Surrender to the healing vibrations of sound as Project Mariri envelops you in a cocoon of sonic bliss. Project Mariri is a collaboration between Mariya Garnet and Masha Andreeeva based on their longstanding dedication to using music as medicine.
Their experience with traditional healing modalities of South and North America and Eurasia informs their shared values that nature is sacred and that we are all interconnected in the web of life on Mother Earth.
"Mariri" means Force of Nature/Forest for Indigenous people of the Amazon. "We feel that the name strongly relates to our belief that nature is sacred and we are part of it. "Mariri" is also a tribute to our plant medicine work".

The best way to enjoy Anahata is to co-create and to witness what happens when we connect through our hearts.
Join Anahata 2025 crew - If you participated in Anahata before, and are able to commit - we are looking for reliable crew members to take on the role of volunteer coordinator, dinner chef, set-up and take-down team.
If you would like to contribute with a performance, a workshop, an art installations, kitchen hearth support, firekeeping, gatekeeping or you have something else in mind - please contact us, we are always happy to support participation and to explore new possibilities.

The Land
Beautiful Merkaba Acres
This year Anahata is returning to the beautiful Merkaba Acres farm in the heart of Kawarthas. There is a wood-fired sauna, a pond for gazing, a forest to explore, lots of space for dancing and games, shade for yoga and workshops and a barn for the kitchen. There is a beautiful mandala garden for quiet mediation, contemplation and connecting to the medicine plants.
We are very grateful for the owners to welcome us to their home and count that all participants respect the land, those that live there and the neighbours.
